High Five for Friday

Where did the week go?  I guess we can thank the 3 day weekend for making the week go by so quickly.  Although, I didn't do much over Labor Day weekend.  Aside from work, I didn't leave my house.  I had a nasty sinus infection, so I stayed in my jam's...I finally got SOA season 4 in the mail, and watched the entire season in less than 24 hours..can Jax get any hotter??..What a beautiful man!! I <3 him!!!  My husband knows when SOA is on there's no chance in having a convo with me...I'm fully focused!  I'm so excited for season 5 to start on the 11th.  I polished my antique furniture, watched the Hatfields and McCoys, and about a dozen or so Andy Griffith reruns. Pretty uneventful, but I needed it!

I went shopping yesterday, and found this polka dot chambray at Old Navy!  Instantly fell in love.  Tried it on.  Perfect fit!  My new fave!

I went shopping in search of some new jeans.  I have lost 15 pounds in the last 2 months, and I don't have any jeans or pants that fit me anymore (whoop whoop)  So, I had to do something about it.  I tried on at least 30 pairs of jeans.  I'm seriously not exaggerating...I had this awesome sales girl helping me..she brought me 2 sizes (I'm in between) of each style..it was a ton!!  I wanted to give myself a H5 each time something was too big, and I tried on several things that were literally hanging on me!!  I narrowed it down to 5 pairs, then I narrowed those down...  One of my favorites were these black Rockstar jeggings from Old Navy.  Normally, I don't really love Old Navy jeans.  But, I know that I will lose more weight, and I didn't want to spend a ton on jeans, so I got some "okay for now" jeans...I also got a pair of really cute boot cut jeans in a dark denim.

These Rockstar jeans are so comfortable...they look like jeans, but feel like leggings.  My new chambray looks great with them too!

annnd...they come in a ton of amazing colors for fall!!  Seriously comfy, ya'll...you've got to try them on!

Blood, sweat, and...you guessed it...tears.  So, my new sneaks aren't working out so well.  I got them because they were comfortable, and light...and I liked the colors...  The first time I wore them they made my heel a little tender and rubbed a tiny blister...I blew it off due to them being new and not worn in.  Sooo, yesterday I was a little uncomfortable..ok..I was a lot uncomfortable, but I pushed through the pain because I didn't want to quit.  At one point I stopped and pulled the back of my socks up a little...all seemed fine...When I finally got home I was telling Kyle how they were rubbing, and I looked down to show him where...I couldn't believe it...both heels torn to shreds!!  It didn't hurt until I took my socks and shoes off, then got in the shower....I cried!  It was awful once the water hit; burning, stinging...finally thankfully they eventually went numb.  My husband insists I throw the shoes away. I think I agree with him on this one..  I found a new running shop downtown, and another in Nashville that I'll check out and let them pick out the right shoe for me...after my boo's heal!

:(

I've finally reached my 50th post!!  I've been told by a few people that they would like me to post more recipes, so in the future I will try to work on that.  I fully intend to share ALL of my favorite holiday recipes with you this year.  By the time November and December roll around I am always in the kitchen making some kind of homemade goodness.  I am looking forward to sharing those recipes with you!!  I posted a delicious recipe on Monday.  You can check it out here.

Henry's Mom, Dad, and Grandma have been sending me tons of pictures since his arrival a week ago.  This one is my favorite!!  Isn't he beautiful!!  I can't wait to get my hands on that boy!

and here is my favorite puppy picture....Brodie's sweet little puppy feet!!  <3

I'm trying to drag my husband for a night out this weekend.  I've asked him at least 3 times a day for over a week now...I know I'm seriously getting on his nerves about it too (that's kind of the point)...We were invited to go with another couple to a nearby distillery for some live music and some whiskey..ooor moonshine.  ummmm, yes. please....helleur!?  Why do I have to talk him into this?  I think he should want to go...don't you?  Maybe he's afraid I'll out drink him?  Jussst kidding (I'm really not kidding

*sigh*

He doesn't know it yet, but we are so going!  The weather will be in the 70's...it's a perfect night to sit outside with some friends and listen to some music!

Thanks for stopping by to read H54F!!  Hope you guys have an amazing weekend!  Get outside and do something fun!!

  4. OMG! Your poor feet!! Running shoes are sooo hard to master the first few times you buy. I have bought 3 pair and hate them all. I am going to break down and buy the really expensive pair that are tailored to my running style. Congrats on the weight loss!! I am totally checking out those jeans!!
